GLASGOW (Scotland): installation of UNIT self-cleaning toilets.
The Municipality of Glasgow, in the context of a project to provide the town with public toilets, has commissioned the installation of 12 TBOX indoor units and 3 UNIT outdoor facilities.
UNIT is a special block designed for this kind of intervention. The block is clad with external back-painted tempered glass panels, and contains two TBOX toilets, one for disable persons and one for able-bodied users.

TBOX is an AUTOMATIZED SELF-CLEANING INDOOR toilet, designed to replace completely traditional toilet cubicles. It eliminates the need to build tiled walls, floors, doors, plumbing, etc. The unit is designed and built to blend design and high technology, guaranteeing safety to users and a perfect disinfection after each use.
The facility is equipped with automatic opening and closing sliding door, washbasin with automatic water, soap and hot air dispensers, vandal resistant litterbin, mirror, grasp rails for disabled users and a remote control system that allows an effective and immediate management.
TBOX toilets are automatically washed and disinfected after each use with special PLUS TECHNOLOGY® system
- Micro-flush coating of the bowl while in use;
- Automatic flush of the bowl after use, wash and disinfection of bowl, drying of bowl top;
- Wash and disinfection of toilet walls up to a height of 0,8 m around the bowl and washbasin;
- Scouring of floors with shifting system for mechanized removal of debris; washing, disinfection and drying of floors with Lava–Tergipavimento® technology, patent nr MI 2005 A001873.
- The entire toilet is washed and sanitized during night-time closure with exclusive DCN-ECO3® disinfection cycle
